Dr Samukelisiwe Nyamathe
Qualifications: MBCHB (UCT, 2015), Diploma in Public Health (UNISA, 2020), MSc Child Health (WITS, 2023).
Dr Samke Nyamathe is a medical doctor who aligns her care with a deep belief in holistic wellness. With a decade of medical experience and a background in community and public health, she believes healing begins with listening and understanding each patient’s own story.
She is particularly inspired by children and the way their bodies often recover when given the right support. This has shaped her deep respect for the body’s resilience and an approach to care that works with natural healing processes, rather than trying to override them.
Community is equally important in Dr Nyamathe’s work. Through involvement in community settings, she has seen firsthand how environment and shared responsibility influence health in meaningful ways. This experience continues to shape her understanding of health as something supported within families and communities, not something that exists in isolation.
Dr Nyamathe completed her MBChB from the University of Cape Town (2015), followed by a Diploma in Public Health from UNISA (2020), and an MSc in Child Health from the University of the Witwatersrand (2023). Her training reflects a commitment to clinical care that is informed by both individual needs and broader public health perspectives.
Her personal interests reflect the same balance and connection she encourages in her patients.
